Of course it is. ZDNet is a US site with US-based columnists and a largely US-based audience. So yes, it's a US-centric article -- because the readers are too!

Wouldn't it be silly to write an article with a heavily Russian-themed bias and publish it in the daily newspaper of a Midwestern US city?
