Universal Service fees
I am sick and tired of the government imposing so called "Universal Service" fees on my internet access, and then claiming it's for schools and rural areas. Most schools already have internet access, and if the people out in the Styx want internet access, let them pay for it themselves! The thing that really irritates me is that there are 5 or 6 different "Universal Funds" collecting from me. Some are federal, and others are State (I live in Texas). And the coup de gras is the sales tax and municipal taxes on top of that! So, Senator Stevens, take your tax proposal and shove it where the sun doesn't shine! Find some other way to pay for your bridges to nowhere!!
