NFC's drawbacks - there is a better way
It will take years to equip all handsets with NFC chips, and it will also have costs. Furthermore, it's security is uncertain yet. However, there is a solution that uses a technology available for a couple of years now, and doesn't require any modification on current mobile phones.

Customers can use this new solution for free, without a transaction or communication fee, in every payment situation (e.g. malls, vending machines, internet, soon even on the on-board computer of the car). They have to install a ROLLPAY Client software, which is free (http://www.rollcomm.com/pay.html).

Furthermore, via the ROLLPAY Software:
- Query his account balance
- Modify and upload account balance
- Issue transfer transactions
- Collect loyalty and bonus points
- Get gift certificates, and spend them
- Change his pin code
- Verify previous purchases in the Receipt Archive
