Judge says NO to AT&T 2.0
Attorneys for the government and the telephone companies continued to assert that the deals would not stifle competition or harm consumers.

Of course not, as long as the government has unrestricted access to customer records, the FBI has thier taps into the net, and the telcos have absoulute control over the net. A nice cozy arangement for the government/telco gestapo.

Now, if the judge allowed this to happen, then AT&T and Verizon will eventually merge to complete the Mutha Bell monopoly with absolute control over the Internet.

Now would be a good time for someone to re-shatter AT&T 2.0, before it forms, and keep the new infant Bells from ever merging again. I hate to think what AT&T 3.0 would be like, let alone 2.0.
