This is utter nonsense.
Fact is that most lay people out there hear of radio frequencies above 999Mhz referred to as "Microwave" and they freak out. They tend to associate it with their Microwave Oven in the kitchen and think they're being baked.

There is a little known issue that needs to be put out there. Microwave ovens do use these same high frequencies, but at very substantial power levels... nothing like what even comes out of a typical commercial grade WAP. Even cell phone towers put out more power than do the WAP's and your still not affected by them. We are talking power levels so far away from each other that it just boggles the mind how they can even begin to fuss over this.

This person needs to stop with the tinkering on that old Atwater-Kent radio and move into at least the 90's with the rest of us. This way they will stop doing this sort of thing like tying up parliament for something so trivial, or even worse, our own government!
