Bush and the Constitution
I think you are close to the point. We have laws and Constitutional guaranteed rights that have legal methods in place to change them. If Bush thinks the laws or Constitution are limiting his authority or preventing him from doing what he deems necessary then there are legal methods to change the Consitution or any federal laws. He does not have the right to just ignore them. His administration can always propose an amendment to the the Constitution and see if the people he is supposed to be representing want to change the Consitution or a federal law. Bush sees himself as some sort of King who answers only to himself and not the American people. He stole an election to get where he is and now he is trying to steal away American's rights. If he is not put in check there may be a time where what I am writing here will also be illegal and perhaps I will be put in jail simply for speaking out in disagreement with his actions. I did not give up 9 years of my life in defense of that same Consitution just to have some wanna be King destroy what patriotic Americans have died in protecting. What he has done is to disrespect all those Armed Forces men and women that have died for this nation in the last two hundred years by out right ignoring the document that makes our nation unique and greater then the rest of the world. I for one not only think he should be impeached, he should also be taken out and placed in front of a military firing squad and shot, then buried in an unmarked grave where camels could urinate on him. Of course that is only my opinion but as the first amendment guarantees, I have the right to say this at least for today.
