Not so...
Working at home is a separate issue from video conferencing, with both serving the same purpose: decreasing the need to be so physically present in order to get work done. The former applies to your local office, the latter to meeting/communicating between your office and other company offices. Even when you telecommute, you still need some face time at your local office. And video conferencing definitely applies to helping decrease travel to other offices. Now, tell me, if you work for your company's Wichita office and normally telecommute...and you need to get some project work done with your Atlanta office...would you not rather just show up at your Wichita office for a day and v-conf? rather than having to go spend a couple days in Atlanta to sit around their office? The answer is clear. Don't confuse the two, or presume that telecommuting negates v-conferencing...it actually enhances the incentive for it.
