First of all, if it became too much and too invasive, most people would cancel their plans. What I pay in two months of service is the same as what I would pay to cancel.
Also, the only way this would work is if it wasn't invasive. If a text message came through, and you weren't able to differentiate between a real one and spam, then you would soon have people getting spam filters for the phone.
As soon as this happens, people will start hacking the cell phone software.
I wonder if these cell phone execs have heard about the spammers in UK that were found and beat to death. That was an anonymous spammer. This is a person who can be fingered immediately by pulling up a 10k.
I get enough cell phone calls and text messages throughout the day that I don't need advertising on my phone. And I will not pay extra to not get spam.
Maybe I would be willing to receive non-invasive spam that is delivered to a folder on the phone called "spam" that won't deplete my memory or text msg's, if my plan was half price. Half of what it is now. - Posted by: numbers987654321 Posted on: 09/14/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
