extremely complicated technology makes the katrina quip obvious stupidity,
pure propaganda at the expense of other's feelings.

assuming that the cell phones were on, the cell towers were not damaged in any of the hundreds of ways they can be by a hurricane or worse, and there was actually electricity available to run the system, the probability of finding all the impacted people is still remote.

a theif does not need to know exactly who the blip is, just that there is one phone alone in a vulnerable location.

it is a horrible idea letting just anyone have access to that info.

typical beurocratic ineptitude.

i would never give MIT permission to broadcast my position, or anyone else.

i have my phone location turned on for emergencies, not so some voyeur can get his jollies.

any other use than emergency is illegal and dangerous.

yo!

happy
