- Why assume it's "idiocy"?

Many people have many good reasons for not locking down their wireless network. If I run a local coffee shop and I want customers to come in and be able to use their laptops to connect to the internet, am I an "idiot"? If I'm a consumer and I feel I've paid for internet access, why should I be concerned about the ISP's desires to keep that access limited to just me?
Seems pretty obvious to me that this is just another move by the ISP's and the communications industry, trying to limit the spread of free Wifi connections, to keep the internet as something you must always pay them to access. - Posted by: tic swayback Posted on: 08/30/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
