When others are in danger, it's time to step in
I'm all for "let people make their own mistakes when they're the only ones hurt" but if it's going to affect other people, you damn well better be responsible, and if you don't, there are consequences to your actions.

That's why I don't care if you smoke at home, but smoke near me when I'm out in public, and I get upset. You do not have the right to expose me to carcinogens that have been proven multiple times to be dangerous, and don't tell me they're not dangerous -- they are, and you and the tobacco companies are lying about it for personal gain.

It's also why I don't care if you drink yourself to death, but I do care if you drive while drunk. I do not want to be harmed or killed by your failure to think.
