That statement is just too d@mn funny.
But the answer is probably not. People want what they want when they want it and most average users think security is just a given. They assume that it is there and that they don't have to worry about it. The average person that does something like this doesn't really think of what could happen and just assumes that it won't. For them that kind of thing happens to other people.
