Easy solution: Upgrade the DNS servers.
Yeah, right. Like the telcos-seeking-absolut-net-control are really going to spend their hard-hoarded profits upgrading something to make the average user's Internet experience better, especially when the money can be better spent on advertising, software to block "undesirable" net traffic, and buying government officials to get them to hand over control of the Internet to the infant Bells.

Why do I feel this urge to scream "Net Neutrality Issue" at this story? No, it's an upgrade issue. Better DNS servers will work... just don't trust Nominum's marketing people untill you shop around first.

I'll leave it at that.
