A good idea, good people, no market...
Having known many of Boeing's bright and industrious Connexion staffers in the Irvine, CA offices...

I was impressed with the overall idea, the technology basis, and the quality with which it was being applied...

But I was saddened to learn that the entire Connexion idea and the Boeing unit itself will be dissolved.

It appears laid victim to taking too long to come to fruition, with an added side helping of a potentially better technology coming to light -- that being cellular broadband Internet services.

I wonder if instead of total removal of the Connexion unit, why Boeing didn't embrace the newer technology, or stay in the business a bit longer.

With the quality of both people and the actual idea at Boeing Connexion, one can only hope that Boeing with re-activate both the Connexion idea and division someday -- and soon.
