What happens when Joe Sixpack's Draft 1.0 router takes a dump and he has to buy a new one that is truly compliant? Will it work with his notebook and other draft 1.0 equipment? Very doubtful. Even worse, if his wireless card goes south and needs replacing and the new one is compliant, but hey guess what? It won't work with his old draft 1.0 router. Now he has to buy a new card AND a new router. much to the Linksys, D-link and Netgears delight. It is irresponsible to sell non compliant hardware YEARS ahead of standard ratification. Where is the consumer protection we are supposed to have? Well anything for a buck, right?
