Do you live in Tennessee? Every year some politician brings up a state income tax. I wish Georgia would switch to sales tax based. I miss that from when I lived in Tennessee.

So the poor cannot afford luxuries. When they can't afford necessities then it is a problem. No where does it say that a big screen TV is a right. I save my money to make big purchases just like they can. It just will take them longer.

And yes, I have been there. When I graduated college, the job market was junk. I found a job making a little better than minimum wage. I had no help from my parents. I had to pay for all the necesities. Not to mention paying off college. If I wanted something, I had to scrimp and save my money. Heck, I even worked odd jobs just to get a little extra. And I still wanted a sales tax based tax.

And here in Georgia, groceries are not taxed.
