So what..
why should someone pay more based on what they make? I have always found that to be silly. I worked hard to get an education so that I could get a good job and make some good money. Why should I pay more. I don't use any more government services than the next guy.

And with a sales tax based tax, your working guy would save more money because he purchased less while the rich folks who buy alot would probably pay more than they do now.
