I guess you must be new around here, ...
... because if you had been watching ZDNet for any length of time, you would know that yer talkin' to a guy who knows all about conscription, voluntary military service, fighting wars, Killing for Democracy, yada, yada.

My son is 18, and if he decided to enlist, I would be immensely proud of him. But if you think that means I automatically need to support every military misadventure the Dubya Crime Family wants to embark on, you mistake me for a brain-dead Rush Limpaugh listener.

Further, if you think that attacking Iraq is going to protect us from the odious aspects of shari'a law, you need to quit writing and start reading ... about the differences between shari'a law, liberal Sunni interpretation of it and conservative Shi'a interpretation of it. If you had done that, you wouldn't fear Saddam and wouldn't try to foist that fear on me.

Oh, yes: SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, BRING 'EM HOME!
