It is a volunteer military currently. Guess you missed the news. It was just 30 years ago that it happened.

My son is 33, and has served in the military for the past 16 years. He is in Iraq. He and his fellow soldiers are in harms way so that you have the freedom to spout nonsense. How much freedom do you think you would have under shari'a law?
