I see no connection
CNN news did not attempt to build some wild conspiracy theory out of the known facts.

Bamford's Rolling Stone story was partly created on quotes and facts that have been unequivocally denied by Michael Ledeen, the source of those quotes and facts.

This from Mr. Ledeen's letter to Rolling Stone regarding Bamford's Story:

"Jeez, I thought it was only coffee in that cup Jim Bamford drank from at my house, but apparently he slipped something stronger into it when I was opening the box of cookies he brought over. Anyone who thinks I have any influence on the Bush Administration is regularly swallowing something more powerful than caffeine."

Building a fantasy around a kernel of truth does not make the fantasy true.

Personally, I go to HighTimes.com for my reliable news stories. happy
