The question is if they'll have basic web browsing ability
Netgear's phone has been available for over a month, but I haven't bought it for the reason that it does not have a web browser. The reason for this is that you can not sign in to many WiFi hotspots without entering your credentials through a web interface.

If I only need something that gets me on skype around my apartment, there are plenty of other established less expensive (yes, even wireless) options, only that they require a connected PC w/ a USB port. If I want to be able to take one of these WiFi things with me to use as a phone, it had best be able to sign in to T-Mobil, Wayport, or any one of many other commercial hot-spots which use a web interface.
