Cingular Wireless: This company takes consumer toruture to a new level
This isn't a cell service - it's more like a prison. They call all the
shots and you have to pay, pay, pay. The lawsuit is true. The
merger was grossly misrepresented. I was forced onto the
Cingular network, my service charges were raised and I had to
buy their phone - and it forced me onto their contract for
another 2 years. They've screwed up my bill numerous times and
then they've turned me over to collections - threatening to cut
me off immediately with a $36 charge to be reinstated (I pay my
bill religiously on the first of each month). They have resolved
the problem each time - but you have to wait on hold for 30
minutes each time you call "customer care" (what an oxymoron)
Then you have to talk with someone in India. They are nice - but
you can hardly understand them. They should really advertise
themselves as having the MOST dropped calls, because that's
been my experience with them. They even send out service
messages via text messaging and then charge you 10? for these
messages! At first I just called and they took them off my bill -
but it isn't worth the hassle anymore, you spend too much time
on hold. If you do the math - they are making a fortune. They
should really rename their company "The Cell Service from Hell".
If they are so great as their ads promote, how come so many of
their customers hate them?
