I am (my family) one of AT&T Wireless customers. And I can confirm that after the acquisition my family members started getting call drops, network errors, no connectivity problem.
In addition my son's phone "suddenly" stopped receiving calls and voice messages. I called tech support -India (judging by accent) and they suggested me a "good" phone as a replacement for ~$160.
AND! I could not buy a new phone from Cingular without buying a new plan - that is what I was told in the "Cingular Wireless" shop!!!
They changed my plan (I had 1200min local, now it is 700 local).
I am VERY VERY disappointed and planning to switch to T-Mobile (my 2 year contract expires this August).
