"Joaquin Carbonell, the company's executive vice president and general counsel,...issued a threat to the suit's filers, saying the company was separately "considering our options with respect to the false and misleading statements made to the media by the lawyer that brought this case."

This is the one company, that if I had to say I really loathe any particular company - cingular would be it. I knew when they bought ATT wireless for 1.4 billion (is that right?), they were making a big mistake, and I also knew that the any customers they suckered in would be the ones forced to help cingular offset those costs. The official cingular support forum
http://forums.cingular.com/ is the saddest excuse for a customer support forum I've ever seen IN MY LIFE. For a carrier that is suppposedly some 50 million strong, it's awful funny that there are never over a 100 or so members registered at the forum with thousands of "guests". My own personal experiences there taught me that they are childish to the bone. People bash microsoft for being infantile, they don't have anything on cingular.
I hope to see ex-cingular employees someday, on the other end of the stick; so I can take the opportunity to repay them the kindness and outstanding customer service they showed to us at one time.

I hope they get what they deserve. They were done before they got started.
