The actual phone service is excellent
but if you need to speak to a human then you are out of luck. After long hold times you usually end up speaking to a script monkey in India that is nearly as clueless as the customer, can sometimes be difficult to understand and has no real authority to do anything because they don't actually work for Vonage, the work for a subcontractor in India.

This isn't a Vonage only problem, many companies have decided to short change their customers by using off shore customer service sub contractors in an effort to cut expenses.
