Another shot at the new tech by the old dinosaur

This all smacks of the old bells trying to use any and every trick in the book to stop voip/internet phones unless they go through them.

honestly how does this spur inovation if a company patents an idea they don't even develop and then sue anybody that does? It just defeats the whole point of copyright and patents to begin with. Which is to spur inovation and new technologies.

But now adays it's being used to sue others to eleminate compatition or keep them out or to just plain make money off thoughs doing the real work and actually being creative to start with.

A copyright should only be given to the first to invent and register and a patent should be overidable by the first to actually develope the idea into something real and useable in the real world and to actually use it in the real world otherwise it should fall to whoever does that first.

Not to somebody wanting to hold off change or wanting to sue real inovators that are trying to make the world a better place just so they can make the easy money without actually working for it.

The old bell monstrosities should be closed down by force if need be to end their ogopolly on voice communications as they don't even deserve it anymore, Not after the way they have behaved over the last 100 years.

Down with the Bells Hail voip and the new Voice tech.
