Well, Google will be offering everything on the server side to do voice and
video over the internet. The only thing Google needs is fat bit pipe into the house or business that will increaingly be provided with many different technologies for less and less money. BT should be using all of their money from providing telcom services to houses and business to morph themselves into a company that provides the central infrastucture and applications as well as fat pipes into houses. In a few years, how you do the connection to the house will become irrelavent, it will be the applicatins and services you provide.

In that sense, this guy is dead on. And, it will be good to have more global competition to keep inovation flowing.
