I am a customer who LOVES their service, but in no way was I going to be an investor. I hope they survive long enough for prices to drope even further. I am getting all the features bur only paying 1/3 the cost of my old BellSouth service. Comcast, with whom I have broadband to make my Vonage work, is pricing their VoIP to barely beat BellSouth local service, with long distance thrown in for free. Like $40 - $45 for everything. I am paying less than half that for Vonage.
I was asked to invest. I said YES I want more information. They e-mailled me a pdf prospectus and it was SCARY.
Paraphrasing, "We will continue to lose money for the forseeable future and may forever. There will be lots of competion who wants to eat our lunch. We will continue to spend LOTS of money to promote our brand because the last VoIP company standing with the most customers wins." After reading a couple of warnings like that, I declined. But I will applaud them from the sidelines because they are a visionary company. - Posted by: ChazzMatt Posted on: 06/05/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
