Is so you can take your calls on the road with a laptop. Vonage -- unlike geeky headset Skype -- is primarily a HOME service to replace regular telephone. That's what people like about it. Replaced my Bellsouth for only 1/3 the monthly cost. If you want to travel with Vonage you need additional hardware and will probably have people from HOME calling while you are on the road (unless you live alone). An extra line costs money.
