Why Opera doesn't like it

The reason Opera folks are sceptical about it is because they've already built nice browsers for mobile phones which intuitively strip stuff off a regular web page so that it looks neat inside their browser running on the mobile phones. They already seem to have made the Opera for Desktop free betting on the mobile browser. Now if that goes bust due to new W3C recommendations, they practically do not have anything to sell.
