We wouldn't have to worry about Iran today
If that Democrat panzy known as Jimmy Carter had done something about them the FIRST time they took U.S. embassy workers hostage.

That being said, if you think liberals are watching your back when it comes to your "civil liberties" I'd like to remind you about how 5 liberal U.S. Supreme Court justices took away your rights to own property in lieu of giving it away to big businesses (see: Kilo).

And if you honestly think that was a one-shot deal, you obviously don't live in the liberal state of Washington, where in King County they are seizing land left and right under provision of the King County Commissioner. Apparently, according to him, banana slugs and weeds need a place to grow too.

Even better, in Washington state, it may end up being ILLEGAL to voice your EDITORIAL opinion on talk radio (especially if you are conservative) while the liberal-ran newspapers can run counter-editorials till the cows come home without having to register it as an "in-kind donation". (see: Washington State Initiative 912 for that story) - fortunately it's being challenged in front of the State Supreme Court, but it is also liberally-biased so we expect it to go to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Heck, we have laws to prevent all sorts of ways of having our rights tampled on - but that hasn't stopped the liberals in Olympia from doing such things as shutting down a voter initiative that passed that limits how government can raise taxes. Oh no, the liberals simply ignore the law and bypass the part where it has to be put to a vote by to citizens.

Now we have a mayor in Seattle who wants to ban all privately-owned firearms (in complete violation of the Second Amendment) because he doesn't like guns (that and the police chief has his stolen!).

So, while you claim conservatives are out to steal your rights (and have yet to actually come up with anything to prove that except a list of phone numbers in a database) - here in LIBERAL LAND, we've lost the First Amendment, on our way to losing the Second Amendment and have already lost the Fourth Amendment.

Liberal jerks.
