When they passed the "Patriot Act".

Congress relinquish their right to protest by giving Bush the right to the use of military force as he deems nessary to protect against foriegn threats.

Bush/Cheney want to establish a back door marshal law because the U.S. is in a state of war. We are no longer to be trusted, so they must suspend all civil rights including warrantless searches (NSL).

Cheney makes inflamitory remarks against Russia while Rice pushes the U. N. to antagonize Iran.

Bush and Cheney are the ones we must get out of office to restore our civil rights. Not very likely since congress has already passed the extension to the Patriot Act.

Hopefuly, we will survive 3-1/2 more years of marshal law and we don't get engaged in a war with Iran.
