Sounds like extortion to me
These telocos need to get a clue. Google already pays for bandwidth when they pay their hosting bill. Customers like me pay for access when we pay our internet bills. Who do they think they are fooling? The telcos aren't out a dime.

Fact is without CONTENT no one would care about having internet access. The telcos need to learn that. And frankly if they don't like net neutrality then they need to get into another business then if they think it's going to cost them. Someone else will step up to the plate and offer service at a DECENT price without all the BS.

People are going to get tired of being nickeled and dimed to death and go back to dail-up. Especially if the telcos are just going to downgrade your speed anyways if you use the "wrong" site or download "too much" content.
