E-Rate Ripoffs
One need only look at the E-Rate program under the Bush Administration to see how these programs are used by criminals. The FCC has documented how nonprofit organizations are utilized by vendors to milk tax payers of money collected from phone bill charges. The nonprofit applies for US government paid grants using documents prepared by the criminals which then install equipment that is either unsutable for the purpose or requires expensive maintenance.

The 2004 settlement with a company out of Irvin Texas for $20.6 million is but one example. You have to connect this example of using "points of light" for fraud to the Bush family educational software firm. Well you do if you are a patriot.

GCN did a nice expose recently. It documented how a crime family may have passed on to each generation of leadership the dirty tricks now being utilized in the IT industry.

From the Lincoln Law which was implemented owing to military contractors who sold rancid meat, to Ronald Reagans Federal False Claims Act, to the E-Rate program, to Powell's resignation (both the general and FCC official) the trail of tears is a big one. Unfortunately most of the story is under court approved or presidential approved seal.

If Znet wants to futher open this can, it better be prepaired for stench and retaliation.
