If this is true across the board then Sprint Nextel is wasting their money. Of course it is not true across the board, it is simply a simplistic generalization that trivializes a valuable technology. There are plenty of situations where wired broadband will likely never be a practical solution and where wireless will. Thus it is exciting news to hear that it is on the brink of deployment. And don't shed too many tears for the legacy providers. They need the competition.
