Microsoft, Deutsche Telekom finalize IPTV deal

So many questions:

Is this an Open network or a closed protocol that requires windows powered Setop boxes and windows media Player Codecs, and the Palladium DRM platform?

Does it have a blue screen, Pentium CPU, or allow internet surfing and possibly spyware intrusion.

the concept of MSFT being involved in TV is going to be the next hassle, rebooting a TV just isnt what I want to be doing in my living room too.
