New bill in Congress targets phone record fraud

Another Day, Another Bill

Here we go again. This Congress is bent on showering us with bill after bill on supposedly protecting our privacy, when it is obvious they are only waving attention-getting flags at their constituents. 'Look at what I'm doing for you,' until the heat is off and we can forget all about this identity crisis thing.

This is my mandate. There is only one way to protect the use of consumers? names and personal data. Pass federal legislation to give the individual control over their name and private information, and, while we?re at it, pay them when it is sold.
