Dual monopolies duel.
The existing competiton is between telephone companies and cable companies. Each has a monopoly in a given geographic area.

If telephone companies merge, nothing changes because the telephone company monopolies are in different geographic areas. And the cable cmpanies still provide competition, for now.

When wireless has been defeated or becomes a subsidiary of the cable/telco companies, then the situation will be resolved. Your two local monopolies will set prices with polite observation of the cost of the competition.

You can take your choice, but you'll pay the money.


As I've been predicting for a while.
