I already buy a great deal of my food from god knows where. I doubt my food costs would go up astronomically, but neither of us can prove that.

U.S. farmers should perhaps focus on putting their land to more profitable use? It all will balance out in the end.

(I live in Cali, lots of co-ops, and good weather, grow yer own :))

The following isn't really a comment on No_Ax but on my general perception of the American Mindset.

why is it ok when 1000's of office workers gett laid off, business as usual, but when its the poor farmers/Rural folks that their is a knee jerk reaction to coddle and subsidize.
