Why do we need to pay??
Why should the rest of the country pay for somebody in a cabin in the middle of no where to have high speed internet??? If you have chosen to live in the middle of no where then haven't you chosen to for go basic creature comforts?? I can see needing a phone to call for help but why do you need the internet. If you do "need it" then you should bear the cost of living where you do not everyone else to pay it for you.

How would people in Alaska react is we taxes them to pay for the high cost of building sky scrapers in New York. People in New York need a place to live too. Why should they have to pay more to get housing then people who live in areas where land it more plentiful.

These types of arguements made sense when there was a rural base of people who needed electricity and to some degree needed telephones but does anyone truely NEED broadband?? I can not believe Republicans are so hypocritical as to support this kind of crap. Aren't they supposed to be anti-tax??
