Then...there is also some new other new fangled thing called "Air Mail".

You know?it?s amazing?for just a few pennies?you can send a personal message to almost anywhere in the world!? It is REALLY incredible! You should try it sometime. It is SO easy! Just make sure that when you lick the stamp?you?re somewhere indoors. I HATE having my tongue freeze to stamps!

If you want to live in the "boon-docks"...then you will have to give up some modern conveniences. Or?pay the price of admission.

I live in a very ?remote? part of New York State, 65 miles to the East of New York City. It took us years to get Broadband Internet access. New York City had it a long time before Long Island did?but the thought of petitioning my Senators for a subsidy never occurred to me. Now in hindsight?maybe we all should have.

Can you imagine it?the thought of having to wait MINUTES for data to download over a Dial-up connection to my computer is intolerable?

After all?in the fast paced world of Alaska?minutes just can?t go by fast enough.
