Rural Broadband Availability
Broadband became available 4 years ago here, but only through the local phone company. $500.00 USD for the modem and $80+ a month for useage. A few months later the phone co offered a modem, cost free and 49.95 for the service. i dont believe they had many customers at $500 per modem. There is no broadband competition in my area. i must use the local tel co broadband. cable broadband might work, but i, physically, cant get cable tv here.
