standard compliance needed
I would not like to buy a device that is not working only becausesomeone in my neighborhood uses another device from another manufacturer that does not obey to the same standard.

Absence of licence for usage does not (should not) mean absence of regulation: there's the need for a reliable and interoperable standard that respects the rights of users.

Manufacturers MUST respect an approved standard, and customers MUST look at the FCC-compliance label for these standards before buying and using these devices. Also a defect in the product should not harm other users (this means that devices must take severe controls tolimit their power and emission spectrum: nothing should be emitted if required built-in compliance tests fails.
