Paranoia?
Let's remember that the ABILITY to do something doesn't necessarily equate to the actual DOING of it! When I had my purse stolen several years ago, and discovered that the thief had tried to use an expired bank card at an ATM, I notified the detective that he could request video from that bank branch for the exact date and time, and he'd have the thief right there. He had the ABILITY to obtain the information, but he never actually DID it. Our law enforcement is so overburdened here, they can't even manage to collect evidence when you practically hand it to them!

Does anybody really believe anyone, in government or otherwise, is sitting around so bored and idle that they'd spend time watching you go from home to work to the bar to the grocery store and back home every day? Even, let's say a worst-case scenario, if you were to hit a strip joint or "massage" parlor some night, and some government agency caught it -- what do you think they'd do, call your wife? "Ahem, Mrs. Jones, this is Agent Johnson from the FBI. We've just tracked your husband pulling into the Saigon Sauna and Massage. Just thought you'd want to know. Have a good evening, ma'am."

The government has much more pressing business on its plate than figuring out where you or I are at any given moment. Unless we're criminals -- well in that case, we shouldn't be complaining, hmmm?
