no-ax is playing "let's pretend" again
The "no-axe" comments on this story only apply in a world where the vast majority of employers are tiny mom-and-pop operations. Don't like the rules (e.g., the self-serving nonsense)? Find a better opportunity someplace else.

The reality is that most people work for rather large corporations that now spare nothing when it comes to "managing" (monitoring) their employees. This includes sophisticated personnel records and other information (including rumors and lies) that will be preserved forever and shared with all other employers you might someday approach. The more blatant aspects of this practice are illegal. But just try, as an individual, to deal with it successfully - or even discover what is actually going on behind your back. You simply do not have the resources. (If you did, you would not need the stupid job in the first place.)

The only tactic that makes sense is for employees to organize when dealing with large (and often multinational) employers regarding most on-the-job issues. Deal with these comglomerates as an individual and you will be picked off like a fly on the wall.

BUZZZzzzz......SPLAT!
