Price doesn't matter if you can't get the service
I've been waiting 6 to 7 YEARS for SBC/AT&T to provide DSL service to my little backwater location in the north east corner of the CITY OF DALLAS, TEXAS. Last time I checked (2 minutes ago) it WAS STILL NOT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA! I can't even get decent modem service (28.8 Kb/s MAX on a 33 K modem/ no connection or excessive error rate disconnection on a 56 K modem). And they have spent millions of lobbying dollars to make sure that they are the only phone service available to me. Words fail to describe (at least words that I can use in this forum)how much I hate this company. They are a worthy successor to the OLD ways of Ma Bell/AT&T.
