Napster on the ropes?

Finally, someone else realizes the #1 issue with DRM and Software Activatio: It was bound to happen (already has with software). You buy a product that has DRM or software "Product Activation", and then the company goes under.

And your purchased product is no longer useable because you can't "authenticate". There's nothing left to authenticate to.

If there is no other reason these draconian technologies should disappear, this one certainly is enough.

There needs to be very strict consumer protection laws on the books concerning this.
