Hmmm...new revenue source?
There's not enough room in the jails for all the people who annoy others on the internet. That's probably 60% of the nation's internet users. In fact, I'd go so far as to say internet forums have become a place for many to go and let off steam anonymously as a means of coping with job or personal stress or just out of insecurity. I don't know how therapeutic it may or may not be, but certainly this is distinct from harassment or abusive conduct directed towards a specific real person in their lives. Anyway, I don't think we have to worry about it being enforced as written simply because it covers too much...they can't incarcerate half the country...though they might like to fine everyone as a new revenue source. Nah...who'd pay up? Arlen Specter (sponsor of the bill) is overdue for retirement.
