Broadband a "fundamental human right?"

How spoiled we are as Americans that now high speed internet is seen as a right? How this statement belittles the struggle of the countless billions in the world who don't have the luxory of free speech, religious freedom or access to clean water, where children are sold into prostituion and others are imprisioned or killed at the whim of a government agent.

But we, WE Americans, we take our basic human rights so lightly that we are eager to throw away the ones we're tired of and make up new ones like broadband internet access.

Plato was correct, in a democracy eventually everything becomes a right.
