Has anyone seen it work yet?

This has been tried before with telephony over power lines. Every time in the past, to the best of my knowledge, it's been a scam. Entire cities and large businesses have been fooled.

The problem has always been at the transformer up on the power poles. Since there is no physical electrical connection between the two "sides" of a transformer, there can be no reliable transfer of signal across one, say...from the power line to your house or vice-versa.

I'm not saying that this couldn't work, just that it's always been a scam in the past and I would be interested to see the electrical theory behind it (of course, if they are swapping out everyone's transformer, that would change everything).
